A joint initiative between the Australian renewable energy company Edify Energy and its German investor is expected to provide 200 new construction jobs in queensland at the Whitsunday Solar Farm in Queensland.

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) established in 2012 to help make renewable energy solutions more affordable, contributed to the project as part of the government's Solar 150 Program.

The solar program is tasked with creating projects to generate 150 megawatts of solar power in Queensland and stimulate further investment in renewable energy.
